This Summer’s Gasshuku was held August 1-2 in Lewis Center, Ohio at the excellent new location of Team Chitwood Martial Arts. The event was hosted by Jeff Davidson (Piqua Tomiki Aikido) and Robert King shihan (Mansfield Tomiki Aikido Club).
In the embu sessions, kuzushi was the central subject. We covered the Nanahon no Kuzushi kata, the Goshin Ho Yondan requirements and parts of Koryu Dai Yon.
During the randori sessions we practiced refereeing skills and discussed possible changes to tanto randori rules being considered by the WSAF.
